Hei! Hejsan! Hej! Góðan Daginn! Moi Moi! Góðan Dag! Unuunujoq!

If you are visiting from Vicki's 'Grow your Blog party' then welcome! You now know how to say hello in the following languages (in this order): Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Icelandic, Finnish, Faroese and Greenlandic. I am in love with these countries and I like to share little glimpses of them here with my readers.

My name is Nikki, it's nice to meet you :) I live in England and started this blog a couple of years ago. It used to be under the url "inspirenordic", but I changed it recently to '"thelittlenordiccabin" because I wanted to feel more free over what I could write about, whilst also keeping a strong focus on the Nordic region.

I decided to write my blog because I wanted to share my passion with other people and because I love 'meeting' people from all over the world (one of the biggest, if not the biggest benefit of blogging, in my opinion :) I would be so very happy if I could inspire just one other person in the world to feel the same way as I do about this amazing region. To see the magic and the beauty in it and to fall in love with it just like I have. Maybe I've found you today :)

If you'd like to learn more, feel free to have a look at my posts from April 2012 as I wrote an A - Z on Scandinavia. You can also check out my 'interests' in my profile, where I have listed a variety of Nordic films, music and books that might inspire you.

If you want to stay a while and snuggle at the little nordic cabin, you are more than welcome. I'll teach you to bake cinnamon buns and we'll talk about the northern lights :) I'm so pleased to welcome you into my little world.

  4. TY Nikki,

Nice meeting you. Yeah... trying to grow wider. As of now, I am a bit bz with some important things to sort out.

Mum passed away b4 Christmas and on her burial, my heart friends just left me without saying anything. But God is good. I found new friends and people who make me laugh.

I will link your blog to mine and hope to see you around, again.

    Have a great w/end.

    1. I'm so glad to hear you like it. I feel like I should watch those shows now and post about them a little now that you've said that - but actually, I'm such a baby and I'm worried they'll be too scary for me! But maybe I'll do it, just for you ;)

    1. So nice of you to say :) It does feel rather Nordic, until you speak to someone in the North of Sweden who informs you that it's currently -23 outside. Doesn't feel as cold after that!

    1. Hey! I really really want to! But I'm in my final year of university and will have deadlines coming in April so maybe I won't get a chance to participate... I wonder if you're able to view my A - Z? Since it seems some of my old posts from my old URL don't work. Although it's sad, I sort of hope it's the case, then I can just repost them again :) you're going to love love love the A - Z, it was such a fun challenge!
