Lets cycle around the city together today

"She didn't have to pay for it-
it was growing there already,

tall and old, by the gravel drive,
where we used to ride our scooters.

No one else was allowed to pick
the huge pale blooms that smelt like jam

It was mine all through that summer.
In October we moved again.

But even never seeing it
couldn't stop it from being mine"

  1. I haven't been on a bike in what seems like a hundred years! But I expect it's the best way to get around the tiny, narrow streets in Europe.

  2. PS I meant to mention on yesterday's post, that I have been doing the May Photo a Day for Project 365 and it's making my life much easier. ;)

  3. Hate to mention this to you Nikki, but at 23 you're no longer a young girl - but a young woman... get used to it - free bus pass next ;)

    1. Excuse me mister, but I don't think so. No free bus pass for me, maybe next year :)

  4. It has been years since I rode a bike. AT this stage, I think I would like a three-wheeler, with a basket in the back!

  7. About long hair, don't forget that a lot of women with super long hair have extensions! My daughter always points that out to me!

    1. That is a very good point! I hadn't thought of that! I'm growing mine at the moment, so we'll see how long I can get it :D
