5. Bird - This is the little bird ornament that Eunseong gave to me. He is sitting in the failed-birdfeeder that I used to have stuck to my window. Before taking this photo, I had had the very high expectation that, after filling the little birdfeeder with oats and nuts, pretty birds would come flying towards my window and I'd be able to take an amazing photo for this post. Are you surprised to learn that it didn't turn out the way that it was in my mind? The failed-birdfeeder wouldn't even stick and I keep finding nuts and oats everywhere. But it was a nice try.
6. You - This picture was taken last year on Midsommar. Here is a tutorial I made for the wreath of flowers I'm wearing on my hair.
7. Someone that inspires you - This is my flatmate Eunseong. She is very clever at astronomy. She inspires me to always look up at the sky. She once told me that "the best thing about the future is the fact that we cannot know what is going to happen until we get there". She is wise.
8. A smell you adore - I love the smell of the forest. I love it when it's that perfect combination of sun-warmed wood, wildflowers and wet grass and soil.
Who inspires you? A friend or relative? A celebrity?

Beautiful pictures! I love the wreath in your hair! Who inspires me? Violinist, Itzhak Perlman. The guy is simply amazing!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'll have to look out for him! Thank you for the tip!
DeleteThis may sound strange, but I'm inspired by the contestants on the legitimate reality shows (the ones where people are actively pursuing their dreams, like Top Chef and Project Runway, not the idiotic ones like The Bachelor.) Seeing people so passionate about what they want in life inspires me to go after my own dreams.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a friend who could tell me all about the stars etc :)
ReplyDeleteI love the photos! And I like what Eunseong said!
ReplyDeleteMy inspiration is also images and sensory oriented. Lavender, Josh Groban, and memories.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful photo of you!!! you look so happy! :D My boyfriend inspires me to be a better person every day. He makes me so happy and feel so loved and wanted.

Thank you so much :) It was a very happy day. We had spent the morning picking flowers and making that wreath. I was in heaven!

ReplyDeletePS - my mum inspires me and my best friends and the wonderful blogging community I am part of.
Best wishes
Sophie
Lovely.
ReplyDeleteMy granddaughter inspires me. Despite her autism, or maybe because of it, she is a delight. Her love is pure and I can't imagine my life without her.
Hey Nikki! Finally dropping around to say hello and I am wowed and what a beautiful blog you have going on here. Everything is so pretty and calm and poetic that I am sighing just being here. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Cathy :) That's so nice of you to say, I'm very happy to hear it!
DeleteI love love love your picture! I am truly inspired by you, so beautiful, youthful and insightful. You give me hope for the world.
ReplyDeleteThese are such lovely photographs of such lovely things! I love the smell of forests too. I'm loving your wreath of flowers, as well. :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, I'm not sure who inspires me! Let's see... I've always found Linda McCartney inspirational, because she was always true to herself, even though there were a lot of people giving her a plethora of crap and hatred.
Hi Nikki, thanks so much for your kind comment on my blog. The wreath of flowers looks so incredibly pretty!
ReplyDeleteI can't stand the smell of the forest but that might have more to do with my allergies than anything.
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of you in your "blomsterkrans".
ReplyDeleteBrings back lovely childhood memories. Your flatmate sounds like a very intelligent girl.
Love your pictures! I found you over at JoJo's!
ReplyDeleteNow following! (;
Beautiful photo. I think the IKEA here is planning a special celebration of Midsommer. They have a buffet and special folk dancers. Years and years ago in New York City in elementary school they had May Pole dances, yes we danced around a decorated May Pole. It sounds so quaint, but as I remember it, it was enchanting.
ReplyDeleteHey Nikki, what beautiful photos!! The more I think about this project, the more I think it's such a fab way to get to know someone through pictures. I probably would have a lot of catching up to do to take part this time round but you have inspired me to just do it for me this year. Can't wait to see your next selection of photos RM xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I love the soft quality of all of these photos.
ReplyDeleteI am an addict to the forest smell to. I get inspired by trying to be happy everyday and try to find the good things all around!
